Pros:
– Language localization was easy to work with after it was all set up and we found some good examples.
– We felt like it is handy to know about language localization in apps for future use. It is also good to know for web stuff because it seemed similar i18n stuff. :)
– It was fun working with JSON once we found a good public feed… there were a lot of useless ones…
Cons:
– It was hard to find useful public JSON feeds. So this currency one was awesome when we found it!
– Getting the language localization was a little tricky to set up.
Blugolds:
– Localize an app into at least three languages.
– Employ a web service in an app. The exchange format must be grammatically-defined: XML,
JSON, or similar. HTML scraping doesn’t count. -> we did JSON
— Notice our lovely launcher icon… we are very proud! :)

– Gameloops are interesting and your tutorial was really helpful!
– It was a simple and cute app to make
Cons:
– Sometimes getting an idea you have to work is really frustrating! We knew we wanted to use text to speech but it took some head banging to get it working in our game’s context.
– Debugging for this app was pretty frustrating :(
Blugolds:
– Gameloop
– Use threading to handle tasks off the UI thread
– Text to Speech

Pros:
– It works!!!!!!
– You don’t have to understand many java/android concepts to make it pretty because it is in html and css
– It’s fairly straight forward once you have it working
Cons:
– It’s very tricky to set up on your computer! Most of the development time was spent trying to make it interact nicely with my current android studio set-up and it messed up some of the other android studio projects we were working on.
– Personally, we think that the design aspect is easier in the android xml format than trying to make html and css work on many different phone sizes
– It was difficult for us to integrate some android functionality into the html
Blugolds:
– Phonegap
