Our goal for this final is to turn the Spheero into a sort-of pet dog, making him follow around while we walk. Using the accelerometer and gyroscope, we will make the Spheero follow a person using their phone(their phone in their hand) . We plan on having two screens – one to connect to the spheero, and another for any settings changes and an on/off button for the app. There is a lot we can do with this app once we get the motion working correctly, such as adding graphics to view an actual Dog and giving him animations. This would only be done after we get the motion working.
Risks/Hurdles
In theory we should be able to using the accelerometer and gyroscope readings to tell the Spheero which direction to go, how fast, and for how long. Detecting our walking movements well will depend on how accurate of readings we get and how sensitive the phone is. Nobody in our group has ever worked on something like this, so there are probably numerous problems we have yet to encounter.
Division of Labor
The first thing we will need to do is set up a program to take readings from the phone and communicate with the Spheero in a background task. Dan has done most of this work during the class time given on 12/11.
Next we will need to be able to use the data we are given from the phone and calculate how far the spheero should go, at what speed, and in what direction. This will be the tricky part of the project. Everyone will be working on this, but more specifically Anders and Sean. A lot of this work will be generating test data and figuring out the details in how movement changes the data the phone gets from it.

In the game, each character generally fills a certain role. The roles are Assassin/Semi-Carry, Pusher, Tank/Initiator, Hard Carry, and Support. Without going too far into it, the character I designed is a Support. Support characters are meant to help the Hard Carry survive the early game(when they are the weakest), and are supposed to be helpful throughout the game solely on the utility of their abilities. Each character has 4 abilities mapped to the keys Q,W,E, and R – R being the ultimate move and normally what makes the character. Also, each character has a unique passive ability that the player cannot activate themselves.
Character Name: Roid
Role: Support
Passive: BlueFang
– Aura that increases the range of surrounding friendly champion’s abilities. This range buff increases for each friendly champion nearby.
Q: Bad Intent
– Grants an extra ability for the next spell cast.
E: Alert!
– Pop up target champion.
– (With Bad Intent) Alert! also slows champion for 3 seconds.
W: SeaQuill Injection
– Slows target champion for 3 seconds
-(With Bad Intent) Slows all surrounding enemy champion in a 15 yard range for 3 seconds
R: Feed
– Copy target friendly champion’s Ultimate with half the effect.
-(With Bad Intent) Copy friendly champion’s Ultimate with full effect.
Here is a draft for what the champion would look like. I am no artist.

The purpose of this app is to be a workout log. The app makes a “workout” with a description, length of the workout, average heart rate, and the date of when the workout was created, then submits it to a local database. It uses separate activities for displaying workouts and submitting one. The app can be improved by using the average heart rate to make calculations, and creating users to save statistics about them to allow for more accurate calculations(like using their weight, ect.)
The submit form appears as:
When submitted, the form’s inputs are cleared and a toast appears with “Added Run”.
Viewing workouts appears as:

Five apps that i’d like to know how to make are:
1. A game using a physics engine like stacking or explosions.
2. An app that searches the web or uses another app.
3. An app that uses voice recognition.
4. An app that uses the camera.
5. An app that links up with my home computer.
