For this app I decided to make an app for keeping track of bank accounts.  The app allows you to add/delete accounts that you have and add transactions to those accounts or delete them.  The app updates the balance of each account based on the type of transactions they add to each account, and the user can also update the balance manually if they forget to add some transactions. I learned a lot about passing data in between activities from this app as I had multiple activities that needed access to the database.  I also learned that a list item that has a button added to it apparently will not respond to onListItemSelected events anymore.

A fairly interesting thing I learned was that to store a list in the SharedPreferences, you need to use a workaround since it cannot store straight up lists. to do this I stored the entire list as a String and split it when the app is restarted. The widgets I used were: Buttons, EditTexts, Labels, ListViews, MenuItems, CheckBoxes.

News feed app – pulls in feeds from websites, categorizes them, suggests feeds/articles based on user preferences/favorites

Golf game – I haven’t heard of a really successful golf game so I wanted to try this. It would involve swiping to charge up the golf club to hit the ball.

Fitness game – A person chooses their class and inputs their dimensions. They level up by tracking their workouts. It could possibly have some sort of social media attached.

Restaurant menu – Round up common restaurant menus with prices and track current offers and promotions.

Additional gesture, motion recognizer – recognize special gestures not handled by the device, possibly make use of the accelerometer for additional utility.
