Note

We’re going to switch up lecture today and do something a little different. When I walk with my children, I hold their hands so I can pace myself with my longer stride. You are certainly not a child, but I’ve been teaching machines for a very long time and I walk really fast. So, when we build things in lecture, I’m going to ask you to come up front to accomplish certain tasks. You aren’t being tested. Instead, you are helping me see what’s going on in your brain.

Also, I’d like the demonstrations we do in class to be personally meaningful. I’d like to build small little demos that help you think through things you’d like to do in your own games. In lab on Friday, I will be asking you what you’d like to do in your puzzle games. Please be thinking!

For today, we’re going to switch to a different game: we’ll write a music memory game called BeatnPath.
