CS 491 Lecture 15 – Sphero Controller
In class
Today we focus on two things:
- Getting an environment set up for working with Spheros.
- Designing a controller to make the Sphero move.
Number one is easy enough, but it requires a Bluetooth Android phone and a computer that can install apps on that phone.
To set up your environment, follow the directions from Orbotix.
Number two is open-ended. The controller can use the touch interface, sensors, voice recognition, text messages, etc. If you have an idea for a final project you’d like to work on, you may wish to pursue a controller that aligns with your idea.
I have three Spheros that we can trade around. I’m happy to check out two of them to groups over the weekend.
