Jewel Find

My son, who just turned 8 a couple of weeks ago, has been hard at work on building a game for his school’s science, technology, engineering, art, and math fair. (We just call it a STEAM fair.) He designed all the levels, typed all the code, and generally used me only for the initial levels, while he figured out how the Unity3D engine worked. The game is Jewel Find, and it can be played on a computer with a keyboard using just the cursor keys:

I treasure the smile on his face at his accomplishment and the thankfulness he felt toward me! I’m hoping this experience will mean we’ll still be friends when he’s a teenager.
