App Name: Paper Toss
Developer: Backflip Studios Inc
Website: http://www.backflipstudios.com/

This game, though simple, can be very addicting. The idea behind this application is very simple. You have a rolled up piece of paper, and you need to throw it in the garbage and you want to see how many times you can make it into the trash can. Sounds easy, right? Well, okay, it’s not rocket science. However, one of the first things I had neglected to notice was that there was a fan involved. There’s an arrow and a number to indicate which way and how hard the wind is blowing. You need to decide at which angle you should throw the piece of paper so that you are still able to make a basket.

Sad to say, there are no instructions for this particular app. There’s really no need to fret, though, as this game is fairly self-explanatory. You need to take the piece of paper, and drag your finger across the screen depending on where you want to aim. There are 3 levels of difficulty: Easy, Medium,  and Hard. The more difficult the level is, the further away the basket is and the more inconsistent the wind is from the fan. You also have 3 separate backgrounds to choose from: The Office, The Airport, and The Bathroom. So, when you get bored of your surroundings and the mocking comments people keep giving you when you miss, you can switch it up a bit.

From 118,744 ratings this app still got a 4.3/5 stars. Pretty good, you aren’t going to be able to satisfy each and every person who believes any game on the android market should be at least as difficult and entertaining as Angry Birds. However, for a free app I’m not going to say I wasted the time downloading it. I had first downloaded this app before I had even heard of Angry Birds, so I didn’t have that to compare it to.

I messed around with the app a little bit, doing things that one would not consider “normal” and the application did not ask me to Force Close it. So, I suppose that’s a good thing. After downloading it and playing it about a million times, I’m still confused as to why Backflip Studios never charged anything for it. Perhaps it was to get their name out on the market so that in the future you may not mind spending $.99 on a newer game.
